Cape Town Arrival & Sundowners

  • Cape Town International Airport

Your private SAFFA guide will meet you at Cape Town International Airport on arrival and transfer you safely around the city.

  • Table Mountain Sundowners

Take the scenic, exhilarating rotating cable car up to the summit of the 7th Natural Wonder of the world: Table Mountain. Boasting breathtaking views and more plant species than the entire UK, your Private Guide of SAFFA Tours will ensure you have everything you need and will take you to the best kept secret spots with the most enchanting views while you enjoy an afternoon sundowner.

  • Hotel Check-In

Your private SAFFA guide will take you to your Hotel after enjoying your sundowners on top of Table Mountain.

Day 2

The City of Cape Town

The Mother City

  • Hike a Hidden Gem

Our favourite, because it is secluded and the summit is our hidden gem. Known to only a few enthusiastic local hikers, this route boasts exclusivity and a lookout point all to yourself that stretches over the Mother City and the Atlantic Ocean with Table Mountain and Lions Head on guard.

  • Cape Malay Cooking Class

The Cape Malay Cooking Class takes you on a voyage into the life, food, and culture of the Cape Malays in Bo-Kaap whilst offering you a hands-on lesson on how to cook like a real Malay local! Learn to make a variety of Cape Malay favourites and how to mix Masala for that perfect pot of curry!

  • City Exploration

Along with your expert guide of SAFFA Tours, explore and unfold the layers of the Mother City we call home. From the deep history, diverse culture, and vibrant streets to the local stores and delectable tastes. From Bo-Kaap, Heritage Square, City Centre, Gardens, Bree Street, Kloof Street, Seapoint, Waterfront, Woodstock, District Six and beyond. You will uncover the true feeling of Cape Town from a local perspective and experience all it has to offer, from the major sights to the underground gems.

Day 3

The Cape Peninsula

The Deep South

  • Foraging & Interactive Lunch (±4 hours)

Allow wild-food artist, Roushanna Gray, to guide you on a seasonal inspired, wild food adventure in and around Cape Point. We meet at the Veld and Sea headquarters, located at an indigenous plant nursery in the Southern Peninsula, and spend the day learning, foraging, and preparing delectable snacks and meals that will surprise and delight you!

  • Cape Point Nature Reserve

Welcome to the most South West tip of Africa: Cape Point Nature Reserve (Cape of Good Hope). Come explore its majestic mountains that lead onto secluded beaches where you will find Cape Wildlife roaming the land amongst a rich diversity of Fynbos. Enjoy an exclusive picnic lunch amongst the bushes, served by your Private SAFFA Guide, as you take in this serene tip of the Cape.

  • Boulders Beach Penguin Encounter

Boulders Beach is a classic favorite among tourists and locals alike. The crystal clear waters, the boulders scattered on the beach front and, most attractively, the clusters of playful African Penguins floating, diving, and waddling about. Encounter these furry friends on foot or take a swim with them if it is warm on the sands and in the waters they call home.

Day 4

The Cape Peninsula

The Deep South

  • Ocean Safari

Embark on a Marine Big 5 experience, where we hope to sight whales, dolphins, seals, sharks, and African penguins on each trip. Not to mention our incredible seabird sightings (Albatross, Petrels, Skuas, and more) and the breathtaking unspoiled scenery that wows every single time!

  • Chapman’s Peak Drive

A drive on Chapmans Peak is a must for anyone who is passionate about the majestic scenery of Cape Town. Affectionately known as “Chappies”, this magnificently engineered marine drive is 9km long with 180° breathtaking views. Watch stunning ocean and mountain vistas unfold as you make your way around the route’s 114 lazy winding turns and curves, each more spectacular than the last.

  • Muizenberg Beach & Surf

Muizenberg is a picturesque coastal suburb located on the Cape Peninsula south of Cape Town. Known for its stunning sandy beach and iconic colorful beach huts, Muizenberg is a haven for surfers, beach lovers, and nature enthusiasts alike. The warm waters of False Bay make it an ideal spot for swimming, surfing, and paddleboarding. With its laid-back atmosphere and vibrant community, Muizenberg offers a range of activities and attractions, including art galleries, trendy cafes, breweries, and surf shops.

Day 5

The City of Cape Town

The Mother City

  • Local Farmers Market

The underground craftmanship talent in South Africa and Cape Town is incredible. Explore the maze of these craft markets and learn about the culture and meaning behind many of the unique creations that are often made from waste and recycled materials. Experience the everyday hustle of a local South African and enjoy the vibrant atmosphere these markets provide.

  • Langa Township Excursion

Siviwe specializes in eye-opening guided tours of Langa, Cape Town’s oldest black township. On a typical walking tour, you’ll see four different housing and socio-economic areas, including worker hostels and informal settlements. You will get the chance to greet residents along the way in our language, called isiXhosa. We also try to incorporate cultural entertainment, including traditional music and gumboot dance – which is an after-school program called Happy Feet Youth Project for local children in Langa Township.

  • Kirstenbosch Gardens

Kirstenbosch National Botanical Gardens – one of the great botanic gardens in the world. Few gardens can match the sheer grandeur of the setting of Kirstenbosch against the eastern slopes of Cape Town’s Table Mountain. Explore the beauty with your private SAFFA guide as you are led through the enchanted gardens.

  • Promenade Cycling

Take in the Mother City, its deep history, diverse culture, vibrant atmosphere, and colorful streets by bicycle that allows you to explore more with your time and observe everything around you as your SAFFA private guide takes you from interesting iconic spots to local hangouts and beautiful vistas.

Day 6

The Cape Winelands

Stellenbosch

  • Dylan Lewis Sculpture Garden

Located between two worlds, one wild and one tamed, the Dylan Lewis Sculpture Garden is found within the rugged mountain wilderness of the Winelands where leopard still roam. In this garden of private myth, the artist explores the Jungian notion of ‘the wilderness within’. More than 60 sculptures of his artistic development are carefully sited along 4 km of paths. Take in the exceptional beauty as you roam from piece to piece.

  • Meander through Stellenbosch

Soak up all the rich cultural history as you meander through the university town of Stellenbosch – a stimulating sensory treat known for its restored Cape Dutch architecture dating from the 18th and 19th centuries. Take in the magnificent sights of streets lined with majestic oaks and historical architecture, the buzzing sounds of locals, and the delectable smells of restaurants and bakeries in the air!

  • Wine Drive Safari

The Wine Drive Safari is a unique 3 hour trip on a safari-type vehicle, through the estate on the slopes of the Helderberg mountains. This experience allows one the chance to taste award-winning wines amongst the vineyards of their origin, and to be expertly guided through all the aspects of what makes this area so biologically diverse and viticulturally unique.

Day 7

The Cape Winelands

Franschhoek

  • Franschhoek E-Biking

Cycling through the vineyards from farm to farm is a unique experience. The comfortable e-bikes make it possible to not only cover relatively long distances without growing weary, but they also bring one closer to the environment which makes for a far a richer experience. It’s truly the ultimate way to explore the vineyards and the quaint town of Franschhoek. Expect to stop for a light lunch to refuel along the way, as well as a wine tasting or two to fully enjoy all the Cape Winelands has to offer.

  • Babylonstoren

Meandering through the Babylonstoren Farm. Situated in the Franschhoek wine valley, Babylonstoren is one of the oldest Cape Dutch farms where you can explore vast and verdant maze-like vegetable and fruit gardens, a bakery, a winery, a cheesery, a scent room and more. Babylonstoren is always buzzing with life and new experiences to indulge in.

An absolutely incredible trip

On our trip, Josh and Saffa Tours put together an amazing itinerary, based on what we were into, and they provided us with an absolutely incredible trip. My wife and I love to travel, and have worked with many groups such as Saffa Tours; this trip was, by far, our favorite tour, and Saffa was the best guide group we’ve ever used.

Epic private tour guide

We thoroughly enjoyed our time with him. Well worth the cost visiting in the Cape area where there are so many things to do. Lightyears ahead of what a larger tour group would be able to put together. From small details to adjusting the daily itinerary on the fly.

Amazing experience with Saffa tours

Amazing tour company. Josh helped plan our itinerary around the activities we wanted to do. Due to weather conditions a couple of the activities were cancelled but there were alternatives ready straight away. Rich was our guide and he was a joy to be around. Highly recommend!
